Genos Sound to Pro Tools

Step 1:

Connect the USB out from Genos to USB on computer

(Or you can connect 5 pin midi both in and out from Genos to the back of the focus rite where you'll find the same 5 pin connection)

Step 2:

Using Line (instrument) cables, plug one in to both the Genos's MAIN L/R ports and then plug the other ends into the focusrite's port

Focusrite Port 1 = Genos Left Channel

Focusrite Port 2 = Genos Right Channel

C.

With the first stereo audio track, in I/O Set the Input to the Focusrite Port 1/2

D.

With the second MIDI track, in I/O set the "ALL" to your Genos MIDI In

Tips

When you want to record make sure both tracks are record enabled.

After you record a track and want to alter the midi you just recorded, you can switch the first track to "Input Listen" by clicking on the [ I ] next to the record button in the track. This allows you to change the MIDI and still hear what the keyboard is playing
